The Three Sisters • Give My Dogs A Dollar

The Three Sisters are only part of a much bigger story. In 2025, we found five abandoned puppies together. What started as an unexpected rescue quickly became one of the most important chapters of our lives. Taquito found a home with a close friend. Tamarinda found a home with another. Chalupa, Horchata and Tlacoya never left. They arrived as tiny puppies with no plan for the future. Today they’re explorers, camping companions, professional troublemakers, and inseparable sisters. This page is dedicated to the three who stayed, and to the two who will always be family.

Out Cold

After a full day of exploring, wrestling, chasing each other, and causing general puppy chaos, all five finally ran out of energy at exactly the same time. It remains one of the quietest moments they have ever shared.

Home Is Wherever We Camp

Camping quickly became one of their favorite things. This photo was taken near the area where they were originally found, less than a year after their rescue. The abandoned puppies we met that day have already traded uncertainty for road trips, campfires, and the best sleeping spots in the tent.

Sister Negotiations

To an outsider, this might look like a fight. To Chalupa and Horchata, it’s an important conversation being conducted entirely through playful bites, dramatic reactions, and questionable decision-making.

Built-In Best Friends

Like all sisters, they argue. They steal each other’s spots. They compete for snacks. They occasionally act as if they’ve never liked each other. And then, five minutes later, they’re back together again. Some bonds never need explaining.
